What it is

AB 2927 is the 2024 California law that makes personal finance a one-semester high school course. Education Code Section 51284.5 lists the topics the course has to cover.

2027–28

The first school year every California high school has to offer the course.

Class of 2031

The first class that has to pass the course to graduate. Those students start ninth grade in fall 2027.
